About the Role:

BlackRock is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join its Provider Strategy Group (PSG) as a Data Operations Associate. This role will help build and manage a new function within PSG, focusing on data management, analysis, and reporting to strengthen relationships with financial institutions like fund administrators, custodians, and transfer agents.

Team Overview:

The Provider Strategy Group (PSG) drives efficiency and risk transparency while improving service quality from financial partners. The team manages strategic provider relationships through data-driven decision-making, ensuring operational excellence and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Maintain, clean, and update provider relationship data with accuracy.
  • Data Analysis: Evaluate data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to enhance provider performance.
  • Project Management: Coordinate delivery of automation and reporting solutions within PSG.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement enhancements in data management and reporting.
  • Reporting: Create regular and ad-hoc reports for senior leadership, highlighting KPIs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teams across BlackRock, including Technology Development Office, to ensure data consistency.
  • Innovation: Drive automation and insightful use of data to enhance decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role (financial services experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with proven expertise in data tools like Excel, Power BI, SQL
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets
  • Experience or knowledge of automation and AI
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities

Hybrid Work Model:
